Following on from the success of last year’s Tell my Story Competition, which was extended to include school children, Tafta is once again running the competition which aims to generate intergenerational dialogue and encourage respect, care and compassion between elders and younger generations of society
This year’s theme is “Creating an Age Friendly World”. Participants are encouraged to draw an age friendly city, or write a story that describes an age friendly world where elders’ needs are met and they feel respected. Children from Grade R to Grade 12 are eligible to enter, as well as youth up to the age of 25 years, and all elders.
There are prizes or medals to be won for first three placements in each category, and certificates of participation for all entrants.
