Tackle the Trails in support of Tafta’s Festive Drive

Entries have just opened for Tafta’s signature Trail Run, to be held at the Virginia Bush Nature Reserve in Durban North on Sunday, 18 November.

The annual event, which is planned along an eco-route to appeal to fitness enthusiasts of all ages and fitness levels, also heralds the launch of our annual Festive Drive to collect Christmas “cheerboxes” of essential toiletries for elders. So by participating, you’ll not only enjoy a morning’s fun exercise – you’ll also help make it a happier festive season for elder people in our homes and surrounding communities.

“Since this is our 60th birthday year, we hope families will come out in their numbers to enjoy an early morning workout and embrace our active ageing drive. Participants of all ages are encouraged to bring along a friend, grandparent, and parents – anyone who is inspired to live a healthy lifestyle,” said Tafta Divisional manager; income development and marketing Gail Samuels.

Choose between an easy 4km at a cost of R60 per person, or 8km at R90 per person. In addition, we hope you’ll bring along a contribution for the cheerbox toiletry collection.

Enter online now at www.wardevents.co.za or www.roag.co.za. On-the-day registration begins promptly at 5:45am. The race starts at 7am from the Virginia Preparatory School.
