Chateau Gateaux, sponsors of decadent desserts to be served at The Association for the Aged’s (Tafta) Fundraising Gala Dinner in September this year, are calling on fellow Durbanites to step up and support the event, which will contribute to the association’s nutritious meals programme.

“We’ve partnered with this amazing organisation for the past year now and we’re especially proud of our involvement in the Gala Dinner event as it supports such an important programme,” said Chateau Gateaux director Malcolm Lyle.

Tafta CEO Femada Shamam said of Tafta’s meals programme, which provides nutritionally balanced meals to elderly housebound in the community and elders in Tafta’s care: “Nutrition is vital to ensure the physical and emotional wellbeing of elderly people. It improves the management of many acute and chronic conditions and delays the onset of many age-related illnesses. Elders, particularly those with inadequate dietary intake, are at risk of many diseases; including hypertension, diabetes, stroke and heart disease which are expensive to manage and treat.”

Tafta is calling on corporates to get involved as prize and cash sponsors of the event, and members of the general public to purchase tickets at R550 per person or R5 500 per table.

The Night of Diamonds themed event, which is due to take place on Friday, 21 September 2018, will also commemorate our 60th birthday and will be hosted by celebrity DJ and comedian Darren Maule at the prestigious Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel. The event includes a three-course dinner, an exclusive gift bag and an evening filled with entertainment.

Book your table online, or contact Ateesha Rampersad at ateesha@tafta.org.za or phone 031 332 3721 for more information about using this unique opportunity to network your business through prize and cash sponsorships.
