John Conradie House resident, Basil Usher is a people person, who enjoys interacting with others. He volunteered to ‘man’ the front entrance, bottle of sanitiser at the ready, making sure that everyone was protected before they entered the building.
“I also help sanitise deliveries of groceries and medication, and take these up to people’s rooms,” he says. “And I pass messages from their families, who aren’t allowed into the premises.”
