The Association for the Aged (Tafta) will host its now annual Fundraising Gala Dinner on in aid of its community programme Home Based Care.
We’re delighted that once again, ECR personality, celebrity and comedian Darren Maule, will be our MC at the annual Tafta Gala Dinner on Friday, 25 October 2019 at The Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel.
You can expect another evening of opulence, fine dining, and outstanding entertainment, while supporting the needs of elders who rely on Tafta services.
“Through the Purple Hearts: Honour the Elderly theme this year, our fundraising efforts have focussed on raising funds for Tafta’s Home Based Care,” explains Tafta’s Income Development and Public Relations Manager Gail Samuel.
“It’s a win-win community outreach programme – where younger members of the community are trained as carers by Tafta, and given the opportunity to earn an income, in return for tending to the needs of elders in their community.”
Through this programme, Tafta reaches 190 elders in under resourced communities, ensuring their basic right to dignity is met. But the need to help more elders through this service is growing at a rapid pace. Funds raised from the dinner will enable Tafta to increase the reach of the programme into more Durban communities.
Tickets cost R650 per person or R6 500 per table of ten. This includes a three-course dinner, an exclusive gift bag and an evening filled with entertainment.
To book your table or enquire about using this unique opportunity to network your business through prize sponsorships, please contact Neliswa Makhaza on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 031 332 3721.
