Included in the epic entertainment line-up for guests attending our 60th anniversary Gala Dinner on 21 September are: celebrity MC Darren Maule, Playback singer Eric Canham, a jewellery display by gemmologist and businessman Akshar Choudree, and Tafta’s own intergenerational choir, which is sure to set the right tone and keep everyone in good spirits.
Comprising Tafta staff and elders, the Tafta Choir is ready to give their best performance at the event. Choir co-ordinator, Rahida Hassan, said: “We’re especially proud of our choir, who’ve previously won The Kwa-Zulu Natal Inter Home Senior Choir competition, and they’re proud to represent Tafta at this momentous celebration.”
The dinner, which takes place at the Elangeni Southern Sun Hotel, is almost sold out. So if you haven’t got your tickets yet, please do so before it’s too late. Included in the ticket price of R550 per person is a welcome drink on arrival, wine on the night sponsored by KWV, a 3-course meal including desserts courtesy of Chateau Gateaux, a goodie bag per guest, raffles, auctions and loads of awesome prize giveaways.
Tafta is hosting the Gala Dinner to raise funds towards the cost of providing 762 elderly pensioners in our care with nutritionally balanced meals to the total value of R9.5 million. We ask corporates to make a difference by getting involved as prize and cash sponsors – and members of the general public to support the event.
