International Care Home Open Day

International Care Home Open Day takes place on 19 June, 2015 – and TAFTA is commemorating the day by opening our Frail Care, Assisted Living Units and Care Cottage for the public to visit.

There will be various talks and presentations about TAFTA and the service we provide. The buildings that will be participating are: Tafta On Ridge; John Dunn House; The Outspan; Ray Hulett House Assited Living Unit; John Conradie House and Tafta Park Care Cottage

Below is the programme of events that will take place on the day at each building.

Outspan – 24 Sarnia Road, Umbilo
10:25 Welcome and prayer – Hannelie
10:30 Presentation on the role and mission of the IDPR Department – Nicolette Modicka
11:00 Talk about Bequest and in memory of to the benefit of Outspan – Madeleen van Vuuren
11:15 Royal serve – Presentation of services provided to the Outspan
11:30 Maintenance – Tour of the building
Thereafter we will regroup for a Q & A session

TAFTA on Ridge: 51 East Street, Overport
9:30 Talk by social worker: Admission procedures
10:00 Concert – Residents
10:30 Talk on Frail Care
11:00 Dementia talk
11:30 Tea
Display of Arts/Crafts
A tour through the building as required
12:30 – 14:30 Live music in the garden
