Our residents might not have much money. But they do have time … and the heart to want to help others. Knitting 67 blankets for Mandela Day is a popular annual activity, but most of these old people can’t afford to buy knitting wool. If you’re able to donate wool, our seniors will do the knitting – and together you’ll help provide winter warmth for someone in need. Fun Walk a huge success

More than 300 people turned up at the Durban Beachfront on a beautifully sunny Saturday morning to participate in our first ‘Old School is Cool’ family fun walk, in partnership with Tyson Properties. From babies in prams to seniors in wheelchairs … mums, dads, teenagers and toddlers, corporate groups, and grandparents with walking sticks – all enjoyed the walk from the Amphitheatre to Ushaka Marine World and back, and the TAFTA Revellers entertainment at the finish.
