TAFTA’s Got Talent

For the last few months Tafta has been running an internal Tafta’s Got Talent competition, where residents were encouraged to show off their talent by knitting and stitching garments and toys and other crafts. The competition came to an end on 25 August at a prize giving ceremony where the winners were awarded with prizes and certificates. The items made for this competition will entered into an external regional and national competition called Pretty Things for Little Things in association with Age in Action. Tafta hosted a Table Tennis Tournament at the Chatsworth Youth Centre recently. 118 members attended the event despite the cold weather. Mary Asher Centre once again emerged as reigning CHAMPIONS and also won 2nd and 3rd place titles. Members from the Illungelo Labadala centre won the awards for most improved players. Well done to all who participated and assisted on the day.
