Your gift to the future
Your compassion for others less fortunate and your desire to help them doesn't have to end when your life ends. Leaving a bequest to TAFTA is a way to keep alive for years, even generations, things that mattered to you during your lifetime.
Particularly if your chidlren are grown up and comfortably off, or you have no living family, you may like to consider making a bequest to TAFTA. If money left in your Will helped fund an old age home - bringing care and comfort to hundreds of elderly folk in the years to come, it would be a real achievement – and your memory would live on in the hearts and minds of those touched by your generosity.
Bequests are traditionally made to family members, friends, employees and charities, and may be anything from a fixed sum of money or valuable item of property (such as a house or motor vehicle) to a percentage of your estate.
How do I make a bequest to TAFTA?
To ensure the correct legal wording is used, and the most appropriate form of bequest is chosen, it's best to seek the advice of a suitably qualified professional – an attorney, financial advisor, banker or whoever holds your current Will.
If the change to your Will is a small one, they will probably arrange for a Codicil to be added, rather than writing a complete new Will.
If you would like further information about leaving a bequest to TAFTA, please write to our Bequest Liaison Officer at:
